Furnaces - High Efficiency
Furnaces have come a long way since the old energy wasting units with standing pilot lights. These days, furnaces come with electronic ignition systems and can operate at over 95% efficiency. Condensing gas furnaces are some of the most energy efficient furnaces on the market today and can be used in any home serviced by natural gas or propane.
At R&B, we help you decide which furnace best suits your needs.
If you are in the market for a higher efficiency furnace, we offer units that range in efficiency from 90% all the way up to 98%. This means that in the upper ranges, almost all of the fuel used is converted into heat.
How efficient you want your furnace depends on a number of factors such as your budget and the importance of your indoor environmental air quality. Also, you need to consider your return on investment. Although a higher efficiency model will cost more up front, it will save you money in the long term because your home heating bills will be so low.
We offer other options as well, such as mid efficiency furnaces, that operate in 80-89% efficiency range. This type of furnace generally makes sense for homes that do not require as much heat such as a smaller home. This option is much friendlier on the up front budget, but not as friendly on the environment.
